Appointed by Julia’s House, we worked with Hill Design and Wates to deliver the charity’s Wiltshire Hospice.
The project consists of a deep refurbishment of two existing buildings of mixed age and character to create a safe, thermally efficient environment, that achieved more than the minimum building regulations requirements.
Using the PHPP software on the project, we assisted the client and contractor to analyse where to invest the budget wisely into the elements of the building fabric. Our knowledge of energy efficiency and moisture risk also helped detail the EWI and IWI solutions employed.
Following some Air Tightness consultancy undertaking in partnership with Build Energy and paired, with our expertise in M&E, we designed the appropriate heating and ventilation strategy for each area of the hospice up to tender stage.
