Staff Spotlight - Richard Day

What do you do at Greengauge?

I help oversee and support the technical team in the day to day running of projects, onboarding new work, responding to enquiries of where we can help, data analysis and anything else required to keep the Engineering and Physics teams running effectively.

What motivates you to get up and go to work?

There’s always something that I want to get done on my ‘to do’ list, so a new day provides that opportunity!

What has been your favourite project so far?

All of them. If it meets the brief and helps clients fulfil their objectives, that’s good in my books!

If you could switch jobs with anyone (in any industry), who would it be?

Host of ‘A Question of Sport’- it’s been a ‘must watch’ for most of my life.

What do you like most about your job?

I like the enthusiasm in the team. I’ve never worked anywhere all the team is so committed and have such a ’can do’ attitude.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I’ve jumped ship a few times – once in the middle of the North Sea.

Do you have a party trick?

Not so much of a trick but an unintentional habit that if I spend too long with someone with a strong accent, I seem to absorb it and end up talking like them.
